Sweet Dirt sells french-style ice creams + sorbets made with ingredients sourced from local farms.  

Creator of Sweet Dirt, Melissa or "Mel" Richards, makes her frozen sweets at Grange Kitchen & Bar in Ann Arbor, where she is also the Pastry Chef.

Mel believes it is important to know the "dirt" or farm your food comes from. 

Mel hand-selects her ingredients from local farmers or harvests them herself from nearby farms 1-2 days before she makes her ice creams.  This ensures freshness  + peak of flavor.  Dairy + eggs are delivered from Eat Local, Eat Natural.
